Ruperto provides professional
instruction in the safe operation of firearms, shooting
fundamentals and marksmanship. His first
exposure to firearms was in 1975 when he qualified as a US
Navy Pistol Expert. Although he had a late start in firearms compared to
most gun enthusiasts (that late start enables him to empathize
with beginners today), since that time he has become
knowledgeable in home defense, physical security, personal protection, asset
protection, executive protection, the
operation of revolvers, semi-automatic pistols, rifles and
shotguns. He is a NRA member and is an avid firearms collector with diverse
guns from World War II military rifles to a collection of modern
rifles and handguns (and duly registered with the Bureau of
Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives as a military weapons
collector). He is certified by the California Bureau of
Security and Investigative Services as a Firearms
Instructor. He is a NRA Certified Firearms
Instructor (also certified by the California Department of
Justice, so he can help you with a Handgun Safety Certificate
required by law for purchases) and Red Cross Certified in First Aid/CPR.
He is professionally insured for firearms instruction including
live fire.

Ruperto possesses
a CCW permit (Concealed Carry Weapon) that allows him to legally
pack a
concealed gun in over 30 states. If you are interested in
obtaining this capability, too, please ask him about this, as he
is a Certified Concealed Firearms Instructor.
This is especially useful for executive protection officers who
travel with clients in multiple states.
Ruperto enjoys
what he does and is enthusiastic about sharing his knowledge and
skills with other people. Although he can assist gun
enthusiasts of all levels, he is happy to provide training to
complete beginners of varied backgrounds.
Ruperto provides
security consulting with a specialization in home
security. He is a Certified Protection Officer
(International Foundation of Protection Officers), Certified
Physical Security Officer and Certified Close Protection
Agent. He is a graduate of the Detective Training
Institute and has earned Bachelor's degree from UCLA and a
Master of Business Administration from New York University.
